Emma
Emma is a highly experienced teacher of over 23 years. During her teaching career she has held various senior leader roles, including Deputy Headteacher, Head of English and Curriculum leader. Her strengths lie in teaching Maths and English to students from age 8 to 13. Since setting up as a private tutor, Emma has supported many children in their 11+ and 13+ journey, nationally and internationally. Her students have been successful in securing places in schools such as: Uppingham, St Edwards, Beneden, Kings College, Kings Canterbury and Downe House.
Her teaching style is results focused with a high regard for student wellbeing, confidence and independence. She has a good understanding of the requirements of independent schools and a great deal of experience preparing students for the ISEB common entrance, CAT4, Maths and English, including Verbal Reasoning and Non Verbal Reasoning. Emma always builds a strong relationship with her students, allowing them to thrive and progress under her direction.

Toby
Toby is a highly qualified tutor with a Secondary PGCE from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of Leeds. He has taught and tutored both in the UK and Asia for over 15 years, tutoring classes, small groups and one-to-one.
Toby's experience, patience, perseverance and organisation make him an ideal tutor and mentor for those navigating the stresses of entrance tests, GCSEs, A Levels and the rigorous IB. He is equally conscious of those who struggle in the classroom environment as those who thrive.

Kathryn, is an experienced and enthusiastic mathematics tutor, passionate about helping students excel in their mathematical journey. With over 20 years of teaching maths up to GCSE level in colleges as well as privately, Kathryn has honed her ability to simplify complex concepts and foster a deep understanding of the subject. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to succeed in mathematics with the right guidance and support.
Kathryn focuses on creating a personalised learning experience tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style. Whether you're struggling with subtraction or trigonometry, Kathryn's goal is to make maths accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. Maths and Further Maths - GCSE/IGCSE/A Level/IB
Navid is a fully qualified maths teacher in his 5th year of working in secondary schools across Norfolk. He has a 1st class mathematics degree and a postgraduate degree in mathematics education. Navid has over a decade of experience tutoring students to help them develop their confidence in the subject and achieve the grades they deserve.
Most of Navid's experience consists of supporting GCSE and A level students in preparation for examinations. He has also worked with some adults and younger children. His online lessons usually involve using collaborative whiteboards where he can model examples, draw diagrams if needed, whilestudents can attempt problems and get instant feedback.
Physics (GCSE/IGCSE/A Level/IB)
Simon has been teaching Physics in the UK for 30 years and previously a head of Physics in a grammar school. He has extensive knowledge of AQA OCR and Edexcel including international examination boards, plus he has worked as an exam marker for AQA.
He has taught students from a range of academic abilities and prides himself with the ability to ensure they reach their full potential. He is passionate about Physics and would like you to become enthusiastic about it too. Over the past few years, he has started tutoring online and mastered the use of online Physics simulations to teach the most challenging concepts. Simon can offer advice and support on examination techniques which ensures you will achieve your potential.

Olivia is a qualified teacher with a Secondary History PGCE from the University of Cambridge, a TEFL course and a first class History and International Relations degree from the University of Sussex. She has been teaching, both in the UK and overseas, for over seven years and has worked in a variety of school settings as well as tutoring students one-to-one.
Olivia's holistic tutoring style means that she examines student's specific needs when planning her lessons. Every student will benefit from a tailor-made plan which has taken into account their preferred learning styles and strengths, as well as areas for improvement. Olivia encourages students to develop critical thinking skills that will inform their understanding of the contemporary world and help them achieve their academic potential.
Physics and Maths - GCSE/IGCSE/A Level/IB
Tom studied engineering at Cambridge and found his vocation lecturing in physics at Anglia Ruskin College. He has been teaching physics in the classroom and as a tutor since 2012, and has developed a strong understanding in the most common misconceptions students hold.
Tom is also an A-level physics examiner, and has worked developing and marking assessments for over 10 years. Tom switched to online tuition at the start of the pandemic, and embraces the potential it offers, combining whiteboard notes, videos, simulations and demonstrations in his lessons.
Tom’s enthusiasm will inspire a love of physics, and help guide you to identify and improve your understanding of the subject and to refine your exam technique.
French and Spanish
Karina has been teaching Spanish and French in Secondary schools in England for the past 18 years and tutoring since 2019. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she combines language lessons with cultural knowledge.
She has an excellent pass rate for GCSE and A-level Spanish and knowledge of different exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge IGCSE and AS level Spanish language. Her lessons are dynamic, creative and interactive.
Chemistry - GCSE/IGCSE/A Level/IB
Nicola has been teaching GCSE Science and GCSE and A Level Chemistry for 18 years and has been an examiner with a major U.K. exam board for 6 years.
Nicola has always tutored alongside classroom teaching and has experience tutoring students from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, China, Hong Kong and the U.K.
She has held various roles in schools such as: Curriculum Coordinator for KS3 and KS4, Head of Chemistry, Deputy Director of Post 16, Teacher Training Mentor and BTEC Coordinator.
Her teaching methods are adaptive, friendly and interactive. Nicola is a firm believer in always working on improving the confidence and aspirations of young people alongside any teaching.
She aims to provide students with the tools they need to be independent, work effectively and succeed in Science; whatever this may look like for them.

Elenna is a qualified Chemistry tutor with over 15 years of experience, having served as Head of Chemistry and Head of Science. She has developed courses for BMAT, Chemistry Challenge, and Chemistry Olympiad.
An associate STEM facilitator, she trains and mentors other Chemistry teachers. Known for her genuinely caring nature, Elenna receives excellent student feedback, with her lessons praised as outstanding, inclusive, fun, and interactive.
Her students frequently excel and pursue Science and Medical degrees at prestigious universities like Oxford and Cambridge. Elenna is also trained in tutoring students with Dyslexia, Autism, and Auditory Processing Disorder.
WJEC BIOLOGY - GCSE & A LEVEL
Nicholas is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher of biology with over 30 years’ experience of delivering the WJEC Biology courses at GCSE and A level. He finished his teaching career as Head of Science in a South Wales comprehensive in 2023 to focus on tutoring privately. As a 6th form tutor in his teaching career, Nicholas has a wealth of experience in helping students into Russell Group Universities, Oxbridge and Medicine. He also works as a consultant in science education.
Nicholas provides a suite of resources for his students, including interactive text books and access to resources such as animations and photomicrographs to supplement his teaching. Nicholas is adept at helping his students to reach their potential, both face to face and online.
Nicholas led a group of students as Wellcome Trust prize winners to the Galapagos Islands to celebrate the anniversaries of Darwin’s birth and the publication of On the Origin of Species. A team of his students also won the Life Science Challenge hosted by Cardiff University Medical School.
